Dead, Buried, and Raised in Jesus

We are all sinners

Romans 3:10-12

Bad News: Slaves to sin

John 8:34
34Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.

Romans 6:20-21
20For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

Good News: Set free in Jesus

John 8:36 Jesus said:
36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Luke 4:18b-19 Jesus said:
18“He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Acts 10:38 Apostle Peter said:
38God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.

John 14:6
6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
