Praxis, Kids Kore, 45 | Fall Kick-off

By Deacon Justin Schaeffer

Last Night we kicked off our Wednesday night Praxis classes (Biblical Compassion, How to Study the Bible, Spiritual Disciplines, and Shepeherding your Kids) as well as our Kids Kore (ages 3-8) and 45 (4th & 5th grade) gatherings.  Each of our adult classes were full totalling over 100 adults while Kids Kore and 45 had nearly 50 kids involved.

The classes appeared full of energy and excitement about the coming quarter as they gathered for instruction.  Towards the end of the classes participants were given time to huddle in small groups for reflection and prayer before returning home.  It was encouraging for me to see our campus hungry for  equipping and enjoying one another in community!

Matt Grant, our Children’s Director, reported that each of the age groups were having a lot of fun and engaging the theme this quarter (Let your Action Match your Passion For Christ) very well.  Parents received Parent | Child Devotional workbooks to continue to engage their kids in this material throughout the week.

Proxy (Junior High & HS) had been meeting since Sept 3rd, and gathered in Schirmer Auditorium to worship and continue in their series on the Description of a Disciples Life beginning with their identity in Christ.

Thanks you SO much to the volunteers who showed up at 5:30pm to help setup the rooms, projectors, etc…

Don’t forget that we’ll be having an all campus potluck in Schirmer this next Wednesday Oct. 15th.  You can RSVP on The City.    We also need volutneers to help setup for this meal that can show up at 4pm!  Please email shoreline@marshillchurch.org to volutneer.  Thanks!

Men’s Morning Prayer | Nov. 19th, 2008

by Roy Almasy
Deacon Mark Bergin devotional this morning  examined the public and secret aspects of missional living and asked the Question, ‘How do we reconcile both of these approaches?’
Our Purpose (Romans 15:30 paraphrased): I urge you brothers, by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in [...]
